Why I'm joining Push Security: Innovation with Impact

A killer team, groundbreaking technology, and the kind of momentum you can feel – that’s why I’m all in with Push Security.

When you're choosing your next career adventure, particularly in the crowded cybersecurity space, you need a set of non-negotiables. For me, that checklist came down to three things:

  • The tech has to solve a real, urgent problem. Not a "nice to have," not a future maybe. It has to be something CISOs are actively losing sleep over — and ready to invest in fixing.

  • The team has to be on fire for the mission. Passion, grit, an obsessive determination to do right by customers. You can feel it when it's real.

  • There has to be that kinetic startup energy. An energy you can feel in every interaction. One that makes you want to sprint, not walk.

That’s what I was looking for in my next chapter. Enter Push Security.

Why I’m joining the team defining browser-based threat detection

I get a lot of satisfaction out of bringing new concepts and ideas to market. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with cybersecurity companies looking to disrupt the status quo.

  • When I joined Bugcrowd as its first marketing leader, bug bounties were an unknown concept. They were viewed with skepticism (or perhaps fear) by many industry greybeards. But I could immediately tell that what they were doing was special. This idea was ready to take on the mainstream.

  • My journey at Cobalt was very similar. We disrupted the old school pentesting market which was stuck in a manual process with little change in 20 years. I came up with a new approach we called PTaaS (Pentesting as a Service) — today it’s an established Gartner market category.

In both companies we had a palpable energy that drove the teams to success on top of world class engineering.

When I spoke to the founders at Push, I had the same reaction. From the outside, Push gave off that rare high-energy startup vibe — the kind that signals something special is happening under the hood. From the inside? Even better. The team is smart, passionate, and fiercely committed to solving real problems for security teams.

The tech itself was born from red team roots, built by talented people who’ve spent their careers breaking into environments so they could help make them better. My experiences so far show just how valuable this experience is in building products that genuinely move the needle for security teams.

That kind of origin story matters. It brings an authenticity to the roadmap, and a relentless focus on actual impact. They’re not guessing at what customers need — they’ve lived it. And they absolutely cannot imagine building shelfware. It’s just not in their DNA.

Push is transforming how we detect and respond to attacks

Modern work happens inside every employee’s web browser. Naturally, this means it's a great place for attackers to launch their attacks too.

The browser is the gateway to hundreds of internet applications and services that are now the backbone of company IT. But this surface is a blind spot for the traditional tools that organizations rely on.

Read any threat report from the last few years and you’ll see the trends — hackers aren’t hacking in, they’re logging in. Phishing and stolen credentials are an unsolved problem for security teams that is only getting worse, accelerated and exposed by the transformational shift in how we work today.

Unlocking the security potential of the web browser

Push’s browser telemetry gives us a unique vantage point to combat these attacks, with real-time insight into attacks as they happen. For example, observing and shutting down phishing pages as the user clicks on them (no more waiting for the user to report it here!), or finding and fixing unsecured accounts across a company’s entire identity surface to prevent credential attacks. And much, much more.

It’s incredibly powerful and a compelling message for security teams. It means we’re not just detecting threats — we’re helping customers stop them before damage is done. This is becoming increasingly critical when attacks are now being conducted automatically at-scale, with an execution time of minutes (or seconds!) rather than days or weeks.

And customers are noticing. Large enterprises are choosing Push because the innovation is real, the impact is immediate, and the team is in it for the long game. We’re backed by strong investors and building something to last. I’m thrilled to be part of it.

Bringing Push to every browser

My goal is to ensure that we reach as many people and companies as possible with these ideas. Push has been a game changer for its early customers and it's our duty to help more companies that are under siege from these threats to harness its power for themselves.

Beyond the tech and the mission, I’ve also been lucky enough to inherit an amazing marketing team. They’re creative, driven, and already doing phenomenal work. I see my role as supporting them, unlocking new opportunities, and helping amplify the incredible story this company has to tell. We’re here to make noise, move fast, and knock down walls together.

I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. Let’s go!
